Pesticide residue analysis in cucumber, kale and collard at the University of Kentucky as part of the USDA Borlaug Fellowship Program. I also conducted an experiment locally to determine the uptake of trace elements in rice under different fertilizer applications. I am currently researching into the effect of organic soil amendments on the heavy metal residues in roselle and jute mallow leaves.
TECHNOLOGIES/INNOVATIONS DEVELOPED AND MAKING IMPACT ON LIVES AT VARIOUS SOCIETAL OR SOCIAL LEVEL
Training of trainers on the construction of mud silos for grain storage in the northern region of Ghana. Training of farmers in the use of PICS sacks and hermetic containers to store cowpea and maize to reduce postharvest losses.
IMPACT OF RESEARCH ON COMMUNITIES
Communities are able to store their produce for longer periods of time with simple technologies without the use of synthetic storage chemicals that pose health threat
